Blue Haven Care Community Transport took delivery of two new Renault Master buses in November 2018.These two buses are 11 seater vehicles (including the driver and helper) and they will replace the previous Toyota Coaster bus which seated 17 passengers (including the driver and helper).

The reason behind the changeover was due to the new regulations that were introduced in November 2018 that require all organisations that provide transport in vehicles with more than 12 passenger seats be accredited under the BOAS (Bus Operators Accreditation Scheme).

We, as an organisation, considered the implications of operating under the BOAS and we opted to apply to TfNSW (Transport for NSW) to downsize the seating capacity of our vehicles while increasing our capacity to transport more clients and our application was approved. This has simplified the operational requirements while still maintaining our high standard of care and safety.

The two new buses have increased our fleet to four, joining our two Toyota Commuters which each seat 10 passengers (including the driver and helper).
