Balance and strengthening exercises have shown many benefits for health and well-being of people of all ages. Physical activity and exercise reduces the risk of disease and medical conditions. Falls are a common incident that occur with older Australians, which can impact on a person’s health and particularly independence.
A combination of strength and balance exercises improves muscles in the lower body to make it easier to complete activities of daily living including walking, climbing stairs, and improving overall quality of life.
Blue Haven Care support fall prevention awareness by offering a Seniors Exercise Class every Tuesday at 11 am, in partnership with a qualified physiotherapist. The aim of the program is to support seniors health, with a focus on strength and balance.
